Dwyfor Camera Club has been running for over 30 plus years - and is based at the Abersoch Village Hall where we meet (unless we are having a zoom meeting) on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm - have a look at our programme details on this website to look over our very varied activities across the season (October to April).

We are a very friendly and welcoming group who are passionate about the art of photography  - whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned photographer you are very welcome to come and join us. We spend time trying to understand better what make a great image ... we look to undertake practicals on an evening to understand how better to use our cameras or phone cameras to capture images .... we look at the art of improving our images with the use of software in the same way that photographers used techniques in the dark room to embellish final pictures .... and we give members, who want to get involved with putting images forward for competitions where they are judged - such a process seeks to improve our understanding of creating better images. Members do not however have to get involved in competitions, if they choose not to. 

Our club has two basic levels of membership -

Full Member - £60 a season - where you are local to the club and can participate fully with all the activities. 

Associate Members - £20 a season - where you are living remote from the area or not able to travel to the club for health reasons and can only take part in a limited actvities of the club - eg zoom meetings. We also offer Associate Membership for younger people who are, for example, full-time students but live locally. Associate Members are however able to take a full part in competitions during the year.

We seek to do some zoom meetings with invited speakers and we hope to live-stream some of our competitions during the season so Members who are not able to travel to the club on a particular evening and Associate Members who live remotely can watch the judging evenings.
