Welcome to Dwyfor Camera Club . 

We look forward to welcoming any new members to the club at any point in the season whether you are a complete beginner with regards to photography or a professional.  You will receive a very warm welcome!

Welcome to Dwyfor Camera Club,  a friendly photographic club where anyone can share ideas and develop their photography skills.

Although we meet in Abersoch our membership covers Pwllheli and the whole of Pen Llyn.

Most of our meetings take place in the Abersoch village hall - with occasional meetings being undertaken by zoom. Please refer to the programme for details.

You do not need to be an expert to be a member – all you need is an interest in photography.  We enjoy talking about photography in a relaxed atmosphere where beginners and experienced photographers can share a common interest.

We encourage local students to join our club as an Associate  .... also if you are keen to learn more about photography or a keen photographer and you live outside Gwynedd ... you can also become an Associate. Please contact us for more details.

Members are encouraged to improve their photographic skills and expertise by entering the club competitions. Some members have gone on to enjoy success at both regional and national levels.

We have a wide and varied programme of illustrated talks, practical sessions,  and competitions that should appeal to those who are new to photography as well more experienced  photographers seeking to advance their skills. We also like to encourage broader artists to join us to explore and broaden their interests within the topic of photography.

The Club meetings start on the first Tuesday of October each year and run weekly until the end of April, with occasional breaks across Bank holidays etc. We meet at 7.30 pm in Abersoch Village Hall.

We are delighted that the Club has been successful in securing a Grant from the Lottery which has been great in renewing equipment, extending our reach to those that can’t attend club nights due to illness, capacity or distance and also improving our exhibition offer. Dwyfor Camera Club was started in the late 1980s by an enthusiastic band of amateur photographers and it has steadily grown in strength over the years.
